Project Proposal
V. PROJECT SUSTAINABILITY
To ensure the long-term impact and continuity of the Comprehensive Lifecycle and Environmental Action Network, the following sustainability measures will be implemented:
Institutionalization through School Policy: The SSLG and YES-O will draft a formal "Green Campus Resolution" to be signed by the School Principal. This policy will mandate the continued use of the segregation and composting systems as a standard operating procedure for all grade levels.
The "Pass-the-Torch" Leadership Program: The 45 Student Leaders (Core Network) will be responsible for training a new set of junior counterparts every school year. This ensures that when the senior leaders graduate, there is a prepared "Action Network" ready to take over the management of the project.
Strategic Barangay Partnership: The project will maintain a formal Linkage with the Brgy. Uno Council. A quarterly "Environmental Status Report" will be submitted to the Barangay to justify the continued allocation of the Environmental Subsidy for the replenishment of materials (e.g., trash liners, garden tools).
Income-Generating Waste Diversion: Recyclable materials collected through the MRF will be sold to local junk shops. The proceeds will be deposited into the Project CLEAN-BNHS Fund, which will be used for the maintenance and repair of the bins and composting units, making the project financially self-sufficient.
Integration into Curriculum (TLE and Science): The project proponents will coordinate with the Science and TLE departments to use the school’s composting area and waste data as a "Living Laboratory" for classroom lessons, ensuring students interact with the project as part of their academic requirements.
EXPLANATION:
V. Project Sustainability
This final section outlines how the project will continue long-term after the initial launch:
Institutionalization: Drafting a "Green Campus Resolution" to make these procedures standard school policy.
Pass-the-Torch: A leadership program where current leaders train junior students to take over after they graduate.
Barangay Partnership: Regular reporting to Brgy. Uno to maintain the environmental subsidy.
Income Generation: Selling recyclables to junk shops to create a revolving fund for repairs and maintenance.
Curriculum Integration: Using the waste data and composting area as a "Living Laboratory" for Science and TLE classes.
